Key job responsibilities

As a Programmer Analyst, you will/may:

  1. Design, develop, troubleshoot, debug, and support internal end-use tools/applications (e.g., CRM systems, financial systems, BI applications).
  2. Enhance existing data models and code in ways that extend the functionality of applications, improve business processes, and help end users do their jobs better.
  3. Proactively work to understand functional business requirements and end-user frustrations for applications supported.
  4. Work as a liaison between business and technical stakeholders to analyze and validate requirements for changes to information systems.
  5. Employ modeling and flowcharting techniques to propose IT solutions.
  6. Develop pragmatic solutions without overengineering.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Currently working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Information Management, Informatics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other equivalent discipline with an expected conferral date between September 2024 – September 2025 and/or completed your degree no more than 24 months ago.
  2. Proficient in at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g., C#, C++, Python).
  3. Ability to write clean code for basic data structures and algorithms.
  4. Basic object-oriented design skills.
  5. Ability to read and understand complex code.
  6. Ability to solve problems at their root.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Proficient with relational database management system fundamentals.
  2. Proficient in debugging and testing application-level issues.
  3. Ability to understand the business objectives of your stakeholders and how the applications or tools you support achieve those objectives.
  4. Strong communication skills.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $62,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $159,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
