AWS is seeking a Go-To-Market (GTM) Specialist to evaluate and understand various options available to customers for a managed GenAI and machine Learning service from AWS as well as from other cloud service providers and ISV vendors, how customers value and utilize such services and products and help drive SageMaker as the service that creates the most value and return on investment for our customers.

Key job responsibilities
You will help build positioning and messaging for SageMaker relative to alternatives available to customers, track the evolution of GenAI offerings across the industry and help inform service teams on service evolution based on your insights. You will educate and enable regional AI/ML specialist sales and AWS account teams on the assets and insights that you develop. You will be engaging directly with key customers and partners on a weekly basis, and as a strong listener, understand their needs in generative AI and machine learning managed services and gain insights on their expectations from a managed GenAI and machine Learning service. You will triangulate market insights from talking to these customers and partners, open-source community and from your own research, and then share these insights with others in the team and with product management to help prioritize SageMaker roadmap and solution development initiatives. The candidate will possess outbound product management, product/market research, and/or business development experience in AI, ML, GenAI, IoT products and/or services and will have demonstrated the aforementioned skills. They will have experience in driving engagements and interactions directly with customers at the highest levels of large enterprises and technology partners. Finally, the candidate will have experience in, and be passionate about enabling specialist sellers and field teams on how to position and sell products/services in machine learning, deep learning, or generative AI.

A day in the life
The candidate will drive engagements and interactions directly with customers at the highest levels of large enterprises and technology partners. They will utilize their technical knowledge and business experience to communicate the benefits of using managed ML services in AWS to ML platform engineering and data science teams with Directors, VPs of these teams and with C-Level executives. They will evaluate alternative managed GenAI and Machine Learning offerings available to customer to better understand cross industry trends and create assets that highlight the differentiation of AWS service capabilities. They will enable field AI/ML specialist, partnership and account teams on these assets, conduct customer webinars, and device scale campaigns to drive revenue growth and opportunity pipeline. They will lead monthly calls with AWS service teams to help service team members understand how customers perceive of our offerings, what alternative they have and the latest market trends to help influence the product roadmap. Finally, they will magnify the impact of their work, by sharing insights with peers and Leadership utilizing Amazon’s business writing practices.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
- Degree in a highly quantitative field (Computer Science, Machine Learning, Operations Research, Statistics/ Math etc.) or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of business development and/or technical pre-sales roles at B2B companies (Enterprises, Startups, Management consulting or System Integration Services Companies in Analytics, IoT, ML, AI).
- Go-to-market experience in driving adoption of new products/services/features across a large customer base with demonstrable results delivered.
- Experience in managing multiple campaigns simultaneously and working across multiple functional teams (Product, Marketing, SAs, Specialist Sellers, account teams).
- Experience in evaluating multiple competing options available to customers and driving strategies to meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Experience in advocating on customers behalf by understanding their pain points, helping customers navigate through technology options and adoption challenges, and conveying insights back to product teams.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
- Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
