We are seeking a stellar Sr. Analyst to join the Global Service Compliance (GSC) team supporting Amazon’s Project Kuiper. Amazon’s Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.

Export Control Requirement:

Key job responsibilities
Working closely with the business, legal, tax, accounting and other teams, you will develop out-of-this-world strategies for handling compliance obligations in creative, business-centric ways that allow Kuiper to move quickly. As a Sr. Analyst within the Controllership vertical for Kuiper GSC, you will be responsible for creating and implementing a compliance control framework and working with stakeholders to identify, build, implement and monitor relevant controls to reduce organizational risk. This role will be responsible for managing control testing, completing quality reviews, and preparing performance reports to clearly communicate KPIs to leadership. You will be responsible for developing and continuously improving strategies to identify ineffective controls and create solutions that are scalable and right-sized.

The right person for this role has experience executing high judgement to provide recommendations for the organization leveraging risk based decision making. This role requires knowledge to solve ambiguous, complex business problems and a successful track record of delivering multiple projects, managing deadlines and prioritizing risks across multiple global teams and stakeholders.

This position may be based in Bellevue, WA, or Arlington, VA. Some travel, domestic and international, may be required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 4+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 4 + years of experience working directly with internal control design, implementation and testing.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of program requirements definition and data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements experience
- Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentials
- Experience with SQL and Excel
- Experience assessing internal controls, risk and compliance obligations within a technology or telecommunications organization.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
