AWS Partner PR Manager

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a creative, self-motivated, high-judgment, well-connected and experienced public relations professional to drive communications programs for the AWS Partner Network. The right candidate will have extensive media relations experience, excellent writing skills, and possess strong organizational abilities.

The AWS Partner PR Manager will work across AWS stakeholders – working with colleagues in PR, services, business, and marketing – as well as with external PR and business contacts to develop and review messaging and press releases, cultivate and execute thought leadership programs, and identify and drive a steady pace of proactive media coverage around the innovation AWS is driving with Systems Integrators (SIs), Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), Managed Services Providers (MSPs), startups, and other partners.

The candidate must be comfortable working sensitive issues and communicating with the media on stories that can impact AWS’s reputation.


Key job responsibilities
- Define, develop, and oversee end-to-end execution of PR strategy and programs to drive awareness of AWS’s partner network
- Work cross-functionally to plan and execute PR campaigns
- Serve as a global liaison for international PR teams, helping to support international plans, service launches, and cross-functional PR campaigns
- Ensure factually accurate representation of AWS positioning within partner press releases and materials
- Develop and strengthen relationships with key journalists, bloggers, and influencers to drive positive coverage online and in the technology trade and business press
- Manage complex, fast-moving, and unexpected communications challenges with high judgment and professionalism.
- Support development and execution of events and media engagements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 7+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
- Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or a related field
- Business-to-business technology PR experience required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Familiarity with AI and ML, including generative AI
- Current experience managing media relationships, and a network of media contacts
- Experience supporting large press events
- Experience creating and executing robust thought leadership campaigns
- Excellent media relations skills
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Deep understanding of technology and ability to communicate complex topics effectively
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment and is willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done
- Ability to dive deep and an innate bias for action

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $188,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
