As a Sr. TPM in FinAuto, you will lead a multi-year program to deploy green-field financial systems impacting most of Amazon's existing and emerging businesses. You will own a program involving 100+ engineers across 10+ teams. You will be directly involved in the ideation, design, and implementation of software features and scaling initiatives. You will have the responsibility to shape user experience by identifying usage patterns, creating technical narratives to influence stakeholders, and leading execution.

Key job responsibilities
As a Sr. TPM, you will deeply understand the organization's data architecture, systems, and their interconnections. You'll leverage this knowledge to drive programs that enhance business efficiency. Your responsibilities include clarifying and documenting techno-functional requirements, establishing best practices for managing technical programs, and ensuring effective communication. You will also create and execute project plans that align with business objectives, while analyzing customer processes and leveraging data to create high-value technical narratives that identify and drive improvements.

You will anticipate bottlenecks, manage escalations, and balance customer needs with technical constraints. Additionally, you will develop processes and tools for delivering technical projects, oversee regular reporting to senior management, and track metrics for success. Your role requires resourcefulness in finding creative solutions to complex technical and business challenges.

A day in the life
Gathering and translating business requirements into developer ready technical requirements including TPS, SLA, latency, integrations, data model, component level design, sequence diagrams, and user experience (UX) mocks.

Amazon's FinAuto organization builds and maintains the finance systems and services that enable new business growth, compliance with financial and tax reporting obligations, and analysis of our financial data.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
