Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. To be successful you need to be highly motivated and detail oriented while showing the highest standards of execution.Key job responsibilities- Driving and developing departmental continuous improvement initiatives and support implementation.- Operation of environmental test chambers (Thermal cycling, vacuum, HALT/HASS.) Lead process work and review output for quality and adherence to standards and procedures- Assemble tooling and assist with equipment maintenance.- Lead daily team meeting facilitation, end-of-shift reporting, and coordinating efforts to minimize production interruptions.- Support new-hire training programs within your department and contribute to development and modification of training programs. You develop training plans for your team and are responsible for implementing training programs within your department.- Drive safety standards and operations protocol while ensuring team compliance.Export Control Requirement:Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.A day in the lifeThe Lead Space Simulation Technician will identify process improvements to improve build efficiency. You will work closely with multiple engineering teams on both early hardware development testing and setting the stage for later production hardware manufacturing processes. We are currently in research and development but moving towards production environment.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- High school diploma or equivalent- 3+ years relevant high traceability manufacturing experience (Aerospace / Medical, etc.)- 3+ years of hands-on work in test lab environment, using basic hand tools- 3+ years experience in a fast-paced production environment with Flight Hardware- Minimum 3 years of environmental test experience performing at least one of the following: Vibration Testing Shock Testing Acoustic Testing Thermal Testing Thermal Vacuum Testing ...
