Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Project Kuiper is looking for a talented individual to lead US Field Services. This role is responsible for operating our professional installation and customer support experiences. We are looking for someone data-driven with a relentless focus on delighting customers and ensuring operational excellence. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is comfortable launching and operating field service operations and device fulfillment across the US. In this role, you will work with a range of technical and non-technical teams to build field service technology, assess operating capabilities, own the end-to-end field service experience, and undertake detailed performance analysis. The scope of this role focuses on delivering against key business goals, while also innovating and finding efficiencies through the development and management of a multi-year field service strategy and roadmap.


Key job responsibilities
- Launch and operate our professional satellite systems installation and maintenance network for residential and small business customers in the US
- Review historical sales and subscriber forecasts, research demand drivers, analyze forecast data, validate and optimize assumptions, and translate forecasts into operational plans and requirements (i.e., inventory management, delivery, installation, service calls)
- Partner with global planning, forward logistics, and reverse logistics teams to optimize regional inventory allocation, local inventory placement, storage capacity, and fulfillment processes
- Once operational, meet our performance measurement criteria and drive process improvement across the business operations work stream, and focus on optimizing costs and delivering an exceptional customer experience
- Deliver comprehensive, written strategy documents considering different types of data, and inputs across a broad range of stakeholders. Prepare detailed business cases for justification of new opportunities

Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- 5+ years managing business metrics related to Field Operations in the United States

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
- Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders
- 5+ years of experience in technology, media, or telecommunications; satellite internet; or subscription service

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
