Project Kuiper is looking for an innovative, results-driven Sr HR Business Partner to support its Hardware, Silicon, and TPM organizations. This HRBP will partner with Executives (L8+) to define and drive their holistic talent strategies and initiatives, while providing programmatic HR support in partnership with various HR related centers of excellence (COE) across Amazon. This is both a strategic and hands on role.
You will focus on organizational design and effectiveness, workforce planning, talent management, leadership/executive development, and employee development and engagement. To be successful in this role, you will work backwards from the business strategy to define the organizations HR strategy and priorities. You’ll help business leaders accelerate and derisk business growth through data-driven and innovative recommendations for new initiatives, as well as iterating on current programs to improve team performance, retention and Kuiper's employee experience. Your strong business acumen, executive coaching skills, excellent communication skills, and planning/project management skills are key to success as you help leaders navigate tremendous growth and change.
Key job responsibilities
· Partner with senior leaders and their leadership teams to develop the talent strategy needed to support Kuiper's tremendous growth, and to build an inclusive work environment where employees can thrive and grow.
· Define and drive mechanisms to inspect, assess and identify opportunities to continuously improve and maintain organization health across the employee lifecycle.
· Work with key partners across Amazon's HR ecosystem to drive programs and improvements in various core areas including talent management, leadership development, organizational design, talent acquisition, and DEI.
· Partner with senior leaders on both immediate and long term planning for organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and skills assessment and development.
· Partner with the talent acquisition team to build systemic and scalable recruiting programs to create a sustainable pipeline of talent.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience
7+ years of experience in a business/customer facing HR Business Partner role.
· Experience developing and implementing initiatives to drive organizational design and change, and talent management plans.
· Experience coaching and influencing senior leadership.
· Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Master’s degree in Human Resources or MBA
Experience supporting tech organizations (i.e., Hardware, Technical Program Management, Software)
· Willingness and ability to both be hands on with all levels of the organization as well as serve as a strategic partner to senior leaders
· Strong business acumen and ability to work well across different functions in order to integrate HR and business strategies
· Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy and goals into optimal HR processes that are scalable, simple, customer-focused and adaptable to unique and changing business needs
· Excellent written and verbal communication; high quality document preparation, data visualization, and facilitation skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $117,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $193,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
