As a BIE, you will develop, standardize, and report on data which drives efficiency and scalability for the AVS Program. You will work closely with business intelligence, data engineering, operations, marketing, and other Retail partners to improve the Selling Partner experience. You will develop and implement ideas that drive continuous improvement by simplifying processes and driving automation. This position provides opportunities to influence one of the high visibility and high impact areas in the organization.

Key job responsibilities
- Use analytical and statistical rigor to solve complex problems and drive business decisions
- Mine data from database tables (ex. Redshift, MySQL, Oracle) using SQL and log files by writing scripts (ex. PERL, Python, UNIX)
- Develop deep-dive tools, UIs, metrics, and dashboards
- Serve as liaison between the business and technical teams to achieve the goal of providing actionable insights into current business performance. This will require data gathering and manipulation, synthesis and modeling, running simulations, problem solving, and communication of insights and recommendations.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and statistical methods (e.g. t-test, Chi-squared)
- Experience with scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or R)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree, or Advanced technical degree
- Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design
- Experience with statistical analysis, co-relation analysis

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $74,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $165,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
