The Amazonian Experience and Technology (AET) organization is seeking a senior-level Executive Assistant to provide support to the Director of Benefits (BXT). The right candidate will have a strong sense of ownership, bias for action, and be able to work accurately when under pressure to meet tight deadlines. You will be responsible for a wide range of activities including management of fast-changing and complex executive calendars and tracking key deliverables. Other activities may include managing large-scale events. You will be entrusted to a wide range of unsupervised decisions affecting the prioritization, importance, and speed of our business.

You’ll also have access to confidential information, and will be trusted with information regarding data privacy. You need to be someone who wants to build a deep and trusting, long-term partnership with leaders. A successful candidate will possess the ability to partner with teams across the company, operate independently, and react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround.

Key job responsibilities
- Manage complex calendar and scheduling requirements for internal stakeholders
- High judgment and decision making in an ambiguous environment
- Planning domestic and international travel · Manage expense report coordination and submission
- Organize, execute, and assist with team activities (staff meeting agendas, global team meetings, off-sites, and team social events)
- Act as a liaison for direct reports · Ensures they demonstrate knowledge and awareness of the Amazon Leadership Principles in their daily work ethics, indexing highly on more than a few as they build their brand (manner reflective of a leader)
- Exhibit high judgment and decision making in an ambiguous environment
- Work closely with the leadership team, business partners, and other Executive Assistants to provide seamless support to the organization
- Document writing, editing, and readiness
- Have fun and help others do the same

A day in the life
You will be responsible for a wide range of critical activities including complex calendar management, tracking key deliverables, managing expenses, and organizing team activities and events. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, space planning, and ad hoc project coordination. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information, and professionalism in dealing with senior professionals inside and outside the company.

Working in a highly ambiguous environment, you will demonstrate initiative, complete tasks and projects quickly, and proactively take action without the total picture. You will learn organizational structures and objectives of the teams you support.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of senior level leadership support, or 3+ years of Amazon experience
- High school or equivalent diploma
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience leading process improvements
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-tech company
- Experience designing processes to maximize efficiency

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
