The WW Grocery Finance organization is dedicated to help shape the long-term strategy and future of grocery, omni-channel and new physical store formats across Amazon. The Amazon Go & Special Projects finance team is at the forefront of this growth and expansion, helping shape the future direction of a startup grocery format. Amazon Go is a new kind of physical convenience store with no lines and no checkout – customers just grab what they want from our selection of fresh food, snacks, and beverages, and go!

The Role:
We are looking for a Finance Manager to play a key role on the team owning labor planning and store operations finance. This role will work closely with the Director of Amazon Go Operations, operations support teams, and other key business stakeholders to influence decisions across the organization. This role serves as the go-to finance partner for a critical area of the business, and will drive deep dives, bridging analysis, and Free Cash Flow programs to deliver insights, influence business partners, and help shape critical decisions. Additionally, this role will own key deliverables for forecasting, goals and cost out initiatives.

Team Exposure/Scope:
This role partners regularly with a broad range of finance and business leaders across the Amazon Go and WW Grocery Stores organization. It also partners closely with several accounting functions to support key processes.

Key job responsibilities
- Collaborate with Amazon Go Store Operations teams and other stakeholders
- Establish and maintain key financial and operating metrics
- Design and develop both recurring and ad hoc reporting and bridging analysis
- Present weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial summaries and business insights to senior leadership
- Lead short and long-term bottoms up forecasting process
- Develop scalable and efficient financial processes to support an emerging business
- Partner with cross-functional teams to build financial models/analysis for business and investment decisions
- Partner with business teams to enable success in the annual Goals process

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) and 5+ years of finance experience, or Master’s degree and 3+ years of finance experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
