This position is responsible for protecting Kuiper IP through the management of an access control program that meets regulatory compliance while also building an audit function to drive accuracy. This position is responsible for ensuring that these processes are up-to-date and align with corporate, business and government security requirements. This position involves working closely with broader Amazon Corporate Security team, Kuiper Security partners, trade and compliance teams, as well as all lines of the Kuiper program.

This position will report to the Amazon Corporate Security, Regional Prototype Security Sr. Manager.
Key job responsibilities
• Develop and set the strategic direction of Kuiper's risk-driven, regulatory compliant access control program
• Establish and maintain policies for access request assessment and auditing
• Provide thorough and detailed oversight of daily support to Kuiper site related issues such as access issues, trouble tickets, visitor access and citizenship verifications
• Partner with cross functional security peers to develop and implement appropriate policies to meet the needs of the Kuiper business teams
• Design and approve training programs for stakeholders on access management and compliance
• Partner closely with developers, investigations team, program managers, and other operational teams and partner organizations to identify and document security issues that can be addressed by shared infrastructure and procedures
• Work closely with ACS Regional and Area Security Managers to understand security issues at the site level and promptly escalate any impact to the Kuiper Security program team
• Work cross functionally with peers in Legal, Hardware, Supply Chain Ops, Trade & Compliance, EHS, Kuiper business, and Security to establish scalable access management and audit processes
• Actively evaluate, analyze, and use metrics collected to proactively inform programmatic needs and policy decisions
• Proactively audit and identify security gaps within the program at Kuiper locations
• Dive deep into US Government requirements to help ensure compliance with ITAR, EAR and NIST standards
• Continually foster strong cross-functional relationships to drive business engagement and execution of security objectives and goals
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand/walk for several hours a day, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach, all with or without reasonable accommodation

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 4+ year experience in facility/corporate security management, law enforcement, risk management, legal, or related industries
• Ability to work in an in-office environment, physical presence in the office in Seattle, WA
/ Redmond, WA is required
• Domestic and international travel may be required (10% of time)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience operationalizing policies and best practices for areas such as Intellectual Prototype security, and security controls or risk management frameworks
• Demonstrated understanding of best practices in access management and audting
• Corporate experience in IP Protection, supply chain security, privacy protection, and/or access management
• Proficiency in computer applications, general understanding of security systems, and general technical aptitude through demonstrated experience
• Demonstrated maturity, judgment, negotiation/influence skills, analytical skills, and leadership skills
• Effective written and oral communication with multiple levels of leadership involving both business and technical sides of the business

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $107,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $229,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
