*Software Development Engineer (React Native/C++), Kindle

Amazon is looking for exceptional, motivated software engineers to work in the Kindle Reader organization. As a Software Engineer, you will take an exciting and challenging role on a team that is innovating on the Reading experience on mobile devices for millions of Amazon customers. You will work with world-class engineers, business leaders, and other talented engineering teams while you design, architect, and code for Kindle Reader iOS, Android app and E-Reader software. You will join a team that is developing a platform on which many other Amazon partner teams innovate their reader experiences.

Key Job Responsibilities

As a software engineer, you will think big and drive architecture decisions for Kindle Library, cross OS development, app UX experience, and service integrations to deliver an awesome reader experience. We are looking for a passionate, hard-working, and talented software engineer who has experience building mission-critical, high-volume applications that customers love.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  1. 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  2. 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  3. Experience programming with at least one software programming language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  2. Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
